Barcode scanners and warehouse Wi-Fi: test before buying
Plan device and network trials using your actual products, storage conditions, scan distances, and exception workflows.
Check the evidence behind your go-live decision. Progress stays in this browser.

This checklist helps a warehouse project team prepare a launch review. Check an item only after you can name the evidence: an approved workflow, a reconciled stock report, a successful test, or an agreed contract term. Twelve checks do not establish legal compliance or guarantee a successful launch. A single unresolved inventory or order integrity issue may be enough to postpone cutover.
For example, a team might complete ten items while Wi-Fi coverage and duplicate-message handling remain untested. The useful conclusion is to assign those tests and their owners, not to describe the site as mostly ready. Record blockers in your project tracker because this browser checklist has no shared audit trail.
Progress is saved with local storage on this browser and device only. It is not sent to a server, shared with teammates, or included in a calculator submission. The reset button clears the saved selections for this checklist. Private browsing, clearing site data, or switching devices may remove your progress.
Add a separate signed acceptance record for regulated products, multiple inventory owners, automation, customer billing, or special carrier requirements. Use the implementation guides to define the test cases behind each item. Assign a named decision maker to accept any remaining risk before the first live receipt or order.

Cost & fit
Compare hosting responsibilities, upgrades, recovery, and integrations before selecting a cloud or self-managed warehouse system.
Plan & implement
Write a timed cutover runbook with stock reconciliation, interface checkpoints, stop conditions, and a realistic recovery decision.
Operate & protect
Design a count process with movement controls, independent recounts, variance investigation, and an auditable adjustment decision.
Plan & implement
Prepare warehouse master data, validate unit conversions, and reconcile opening inventory before importing into a new WMS.
Cost & fit
Decide whether a warehouse execution gap needs a separate WMS or better use of your existing ERP module with a common demo script.
